MLK Day of Service Newsletter (January 2022)
On the MLK Day of Service 2022 (January 17), Knight Vision created and distributed resources for the Menlo community to support, donate, and volunteer to help combat racism in the Bay Area and our greater community. This newsletter provided many great opportunities for Menlovians to engage in conversations about racism and make real change in their community.
Summer ShowCASE 2021 Newsletter (August 2021)
Knight Vision's Summer CASE program concluded with the ShowCASE in August 2021. Students were able to present their projects in the new Spieker Center or create an interactive booth for viewers to learn more about the work they did. All students created their own 'article' in the ShowCASE Newsletter that described their work over the summer and encouraged readers to explore websites, flyers, and more created by the students. Twelve Days of Kindness Newsletter (January 2021)
KV's Twelve Days of Kindness challenge lasted from Dec. 13 to Dec. 24, 2020, and Menlo families were invited to do one random act of kindness each day. KV compiled a list of activities for participants to choose from, ranging from from donating old clothes to leaving a holiday note for your mail carrier. We asked participants to let us know about their acts of kindness every day, and we received more than 200 total submissions!
Summer ShowCASE 2020 Newsletter (August 2020)
As a culmination of our Community Action Summer Experience (CASE) 2020 summer program -- read more here! -- Knight Vision offered two forums for students in the program to share their work. One is the CASE 2020 Newsletter, which includes a summary that each person or pair wrote describing their initiative. The second forum is our upcoming virtual speaker series, which will take place at 7:00pm - 7:40pm every night from August 25-28, 2020. The newsletter acts as a preview and invitation for the speaker series. Be sure to check it out!
Black Lives Matter Newsletter (June 2020)
After the killing of George Floyd in late May, the Black Lives Matter movement expanded rapidly across our nation. As our local community increasingly searched for ways to learn about racial injustice and become involved in the movement, Knight Vision alumni and new leaders spearheaded the effort to create an extensive collection of useful resources. The newsletter, titled "Structural Violence and Racism in America, provides a background on police brutality, educational resources, and ideas on how to take action.
COVID-19 Newsletter: How Can I Help? (April 2020)
The outbreak and spread of the coronavirus caused immense danger to the community in many forms, including health risks, economic instability, and emotional distress. Knight Vision compiled a guide with opportunities for Menlo community members seeking ways to help those most adversely impacted by the pandemic. The newsletter also includes a message from Ms. Barada, Menlo's Health Services Coordinator, on how to protect ourselves and those around us.

Resources for Ukraine Crisis Document (May 2022)
In response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Knight Vision created a list of resources for Menlo families to learn about the crisis and donate to organizations that support Ukrainian children, families, refugees, and front-line workers.
